Built for momentum

Ship the work, skip the busywork

Anaya Rai8 min read

Plan, build and release in one place. Every update lands where your team already looks.

Most teams lose a day a week to status updates. Fieldwork writes them for you, from the work itself: merged code, closed tickets, shipped releases.

We cut our release cycle from two weeks to two days.

Your roadmap stays honest because it's built from what actually happened. No more decks that are out of date by the time they're presented.

Use case

Font pairings for mobile apps

In an app, type works at small sizes and in tight spaces: tab labels, list rows, numbers that change. A good pairing stays legible at 12px and still has a voice in the large title. The examples above show the current pairing on mobile apps; press Space for another, or pick one below.

Small sizes first

Check list rows, captions and tab labels at 11–14px. Fonts with open counters and distinct letters (Il1, O0) hold up best.

Numbers matter

Balances, times and stats look steadier with tabular figures. Many body fonts include them; few display fonts do.

Respect Dynamic Type

Choose fonts with enough weights to scale with accessibility text sizes without falling back to the system font.

Pairings for mobile apps

  • Space Grotesk + Inter
  • Sora + Sora
  • JetBrains Mono + Inter
  • Geist + Work Sans
  • Urbanist + Urbanist
  • Montserrat + Source Sans 3
  • Cabinet Grotesk + DM Sans
  • Darker Grotesque + DM Sans
  • Albert Sans + Albert Sans
  • Schibsted Grotesk + DM Sans

Questions

Should an app use the system font?
The system font is a safe default. A custom pairing gives the app its own voice; keep body text very legible and use the personality in titles.
What size should body text be in an app?
Around 16–17px for body text, 13px for secondary text, and never below 11px for anything people need to read.
